Candyman – Sequel to the surprisingly excellent film from 1992! I dare you to say his name 5 times in front of the mirror or whatever you’re supposed to do or not do.
The Eight Hundred – Well-regarded true WWII tale of a number of Chinese soldiers (800 perhaps?) fighting of thousands of Japanese army guys.
Jungle Cruise – Because we needed another Disney movie based on a theme park ride.
The Protégé – Maggie Q (world’s best assassin – says so on her coffee mug) must avenge the killing of her mentor. Michael Keaton and Samuel L. are along for the shenanigans.
The Show – Alan Moore takes you on a ride where a man’s search for a stolen artifact leads him to the haunted town filled with Voodoo gangsters, masked adventurers, Depression-era private eyes and violent chiaroscuro women. Sounds cool, no?
Skull: The Mask – Fun-looking, hyper-violent horror number from Brazil finds a haunted mask making folks do nasty things. Sign me up!
